As we celebrate Small Business Month, it is essential we recognize and celebrate the significant contributions of women-led businesses to our economy and communities. Women entrepreneurs play a crucial role in driving innovation, creating jobs and fostering economic growth. In the three states that we represent, women-owned businesses employ 69.7k workers and contribute $11 billion to the economy.

Despite facing unique challenges, such as access to capital and gender bias, women continue to start and grow businesses at a remarkable pace. According to recent studies, women-owned businesses are growing at a rate five times faster than the national average, demonstrating their resilience and entrepreneurial spirit.

Small Business Month provides us with an opportunity to celebrate and support women-led businesses. By empowering women entrepreneurs, we can unlock new economic opportunities, drive inclusive growth and build stronger communities.
