Dear GWBC® Community,
As we step into a new year, celebrating our 25th Anniversary, our staff and board of directors deeply appreciate your ongoing support for the Greater Women's Business Council® (GWBC®). Your contributions have been instrumental in building a vibrant community of women entrepreneurs, business leaders and corporate partners, all united in our mission to advance economic opportunities for women-owned businesses.
This new year has also reminded us of the common missions that GWBC®, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and President Jimmy Carter have in common as we support underserved communities. Former President Carter was a centenarian honored for his life of service in and out of the office of the presidency. His most notable achievements included hiring more women in his cabinet than any previous president and building housing for the poor.
We are all benefiting from the women leaders in front and behind the scenes who marched with Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. during the civil rights movement. Let us reflect on his words: "Faith is taking the first step even when you don't see the whole staircase."
These words resonate deeply with the mission and journey of GWBC® and our women founders. Every step you take to grow your business, whether through innovation, education or networking—brings us closer to a future of greater opportunity and equity.
As we celebrate 25 years the time is right for you to:
- Generate new business relationships by attending our events and programs
- Weigh the value of networking
- Build a better business and raise the bar by 25-points
- Celebrate our 25th anniversary with us. Get certified and mark your calendars to recertify every year
As a part of a national network, our hearts go out to the victims and families affected by the fires in California. We also realize that where there are disasters, there are significant business disruptions that can impact our constituents across the network.
We ask for your continued generosity and support for the victims of Hurricane Helene by contributing to our fundraising efforts. Together, we can help rebuild lives and businesses impacted by this devastating storm in our service area.
As we look to the future, let's remember that the power of community and collaboration is unmatched. Let's make this a year of resilience and impact as your growth and prosperity are our top priorities. Together, we can create lasting change for our businesses and the communities we serve.
Always in your service,
Roz Lewis
