Behind the Scenes: Celebrating Women, Leadership & Impact
October is a powerful month of celebration and awareness—with Women’s Business Month and Breast Cancer Awareness Month shining a spotlight on women who lead with purpose and strength. Behind these important observances are trailblazers who drive economic growth, create opportunities, and build stronger communities every single day.
On October 9, the WBENC community gathered in Washington, D.C. to honor the life and legacy of Pamela Prince-Eason, President & CEO of WBENC. It was an inspiring moment to see peers and partners united around her vision of scaling and strengthening the network of women-owned businesses and corporate members that champion inclusion and opportunity.
Earlier that week, we visited a woman-owned restaurant with WBENC regional partner leaders. The food was unforgettable—but the story was even more powerful. For 36 years, this business has served its community with excellence, thanks to a loyal team with tenures spanning 10 to 25 years. Like many small businesses, they’ve faced real challenges in today’s economic climate, but their resilience and dedication continue to inspire.
These are the faces, families, and communities that fuel our economy—locally, regionally, and nationally. Whether through products or services, your impact is real, measurable, and essential.
As GWBC® proudly celebrates its 25th Anniversary, we want to spotlight the incredible contributions of women-owned businesses and corporate partners who make supplier diversity and inclusion more than just words—they make it a movement.
You are the change makers.
You are the economic engine.
You are the reason we keep pushing the needle forward.
Let’s continue to lift each other up, share our stories, and build an inclusive future—together.
Always in your service!
