Greater Women’s Business Council® Brings Annual Networking Event to North Carolina

Sharon Goldmacher | Published on 4/27/2023
Participants will learn about Environmental, Social, and Governance and how it will affect their businesses

Atlanta – May 3, 2023 - The Greater Women's Business Council (GWBC) will bring its networking luncheon, Tables of 8, to Charlotte, North Carolina on May 10, 2023! Every year, GWBC presents Tables of 8, an interactive luncheon encouraging the development of key business relationships by bringing together its corporate members and fellow Women Business Enterprises (WBEs) in a small group setting.

This May's Tables of 8 will unite corporate leaders and WBEs to cultivate a supportive networking opportunity to discuss this year's theme: Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG). ESG is determined by how an organization handles the risks, opportunities, and investments surrounding sustainability issues. Topics will include what suppliers should consider regarding ESG and how this trend may affect a company's request for proposals or qualifications.

The event will feature four experts from Ally Financial, including Bryan Horton, Sourcing Manager; Margaret Borg, Senior Director, Sustainability Risk; Steph Mitchell, Director, Marketing & PR Supply Chain; and Kelly Fitzpatrick-Peck, Manager, Supplier Diversity & Sustainability.

“Start-ups to large companies can no longer take a wait-and-see attitude about ESG. It is here and here to stay. This unique event will give women business owners a clear perspective on what is needed to help grow their business while paying close attention to ESG principles,” said Roz Lewis, president and CEO – Greater Women’s Business Council®.

This Tables of 8 networking event will be hosted on May 10, from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. by Ally Financial, a leading digital financial services company, in their brand-new facilities in Charlotte, North Carolina. The Truist Financial Corporation and the Papa John's Headquarters in Atlanta, Ga. hosted last year's Tables of 8 events.

Register today to attend the 2023 Tables of 8 Luncheon.
